How to Transfer SMS from iPod Touch to Computer?

It is an easy to use application with a GUI interface and quite simple transfer mechanism.
It is done as follows-
First download and install iPod backup software
Connect the iPod touch to system
Run iPod touch SMS backup
SMS from the iPod touch will then be displayed in the main interface which appears as shown. After that you can select and view the SMS
Lastly, for copy (in 1st case) click on export button and this will copy SMS from all the iPod contacts
Next choose file types – in which the SMS is to be copied TXT and ANTS file
Select the output file path- or it can be left as default
In advanced option, you can specify password for the SMS, if the file format selected is ANTS
Click OK to finish copy.

Click on export button to copy sms from single contact option
Select the file type TXT in single contact SMS copy or MHT that also for single contact sms transfer the difference here is that it supports print out
The MHT file can be viewed in internet explorer, for this click tool-internet options-advanced. You can check the ‘print background color and images’ and then print it.
Select the file path for the SMS to be copied
Click the copy button
With this the SMS is copied successfully into the computer from iPod touch.
